Vodka is a strong alcoholic beverage. There are different types of vodka, and therefore the prices for it are different, but our Ukrainian vodka is the most popular with us. This is the alcohol that is most often chosen at parties and social events, such as a wedding. Vodka can be consumed as a standalone drink or used as a basis for preparing drinks.
However, you should be moderate in your consumption, because the percentage and calorie content of vodka can have an impact on your health.
The first distillates were primitive fillings that did not differ significantly from ordinary moonshine. The imperfection of the distillation methods forced manufacturers to use herbs and spices to mask the unpleasant taste of the drink. Only the invention of Eneas Coffey of continuous distillation columns in 1831 made it possible to completely purify alcohol. This is how pure vodka appeared. Ukraine is currently one of the three largest vodka markets in the world, alongside Russia and the United States.
The whole process of vodka production begins at the distillery in column distillers. The wort, which is a mixture of sugar, water and yeast, is fermented here. Thanks to this process, a solution is obtained with an alcohol concentration of 8%, which is then distilled to a strength of 85-90% and rectified to remove the unpleasant taste. Thus, rectified alcohol with a strength of 96% and anhydrous alcohol are produced. At the next stage of production, rectified alcohol is enriched with alcohol distilled from a specially selected grain mass. This contributes to a subtle, slightly grainy aftertaste in the final product. Charcoal treatment is used to enhance the taste of high quality pure vodka. Premium and super premium vodkas are distinguished by four-fold distillation and multiple filtration processes. At the end of production, the resulting alcohol is diluted with water to a strength of 40%, and the ready-to-drink vodka is bottled.
